Tinubu, Osinbajo Quiet Over Fayemi’s Allegation As APC 2023 Contenders Meet At Wedding

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and All Progressives Congress, APC national leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu were mum on Saturday when they met Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State as the three alleged 2023 presidential aspirants stormed Bauchi for the wedding of a daughter of the minister of education, Malam Adamu Adamu.

The three were pictured together at the wedding that was graced by some of the country’s most eminent personalities.

GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that Adamu Adamu is one of the most influential personalities in the Muhammadu Buhari government having been the president’s speechwriter prior to his advent as president.

He has held firm to the education portfolio since the first term.

The wedding was also attended by some of the influential personalities in the country including the famed but young presidency cabal linchpin, Sarki Abba, Senior Special Assistant to the President Domestic and Household Matters.

Also present at the wedding were Senate President Ahmad Lawan, Governors Mohammed Bala (Bauchi), Simon Lalong (Plateau), Mai Mala Buni (Yobe), Abubakar Badaru (Jigawa).

The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Pantami; Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Alhaji Lai Mohammed and Senior Special Assistants to the President, , Garba Shehu, Media and Publicity and Ya’u Darazo, Special Duties, also attended.

 GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that the wedding came against the background of the assertion that a rival for the 2023 presidential ticket of the APC had commenced plans to launch a set of negative attacks against him ahead of the primary campaign.

“Some entrenched interests within the ruling All Progressives Congress, however, seem uncomfortable with the rising profile of the NGF Chairman and have resorted to cheap blackmail aimed at de-marketing him,” Fayemi’s chief press secretary, Yinka Oyebode had said in a statement last Thursday.

Dr. Fayemi, however, did not mention a name but alleged that the plot was coming from one of the rivals for the APC 2023 presidential ticket.

Prof Osinbajo and Tinubu are among the major contenders for the ticket along with Fayemi, all of who were at the wedding. However, there was no overt mention of the alleged plot when the three leading party personalities met in Bauchi on Saturday.
