Mixed Reactions As Ogun State High School Student Nabbed With Charms

Published

on

A pupil of the Alapoti High School, Ado-Odo, Ogun State, was on Tuesday apprehended with an assorted charm around his waist during school hours.

According to reports, the culprit, identified as Bankole Kamoli, was nabbed inside a forest very close to the school.

It was gathered that Kamoli stays in the jungle during school hours, to smoke, drink and gamble with some other boys.

In reaction to the student’s arrest, reactions on social media were mixed, a user questioned if he would have been arrested if he was caught with a Bible or Quran, others criticised the student for his behaviour.

Here are some reactions gathered by GreenWhiteGreen

@rant_hq Will they arrest him if it was Bible or Quran around his waist? What is even wrong with us in this country?

@oprah_matt Na charm make them handcuff under 18 so lol. Nigeria my country

@sp.okpara Charm is an object of African faith, just as we have in other religions and not a crime

@forlahbee Smoke, gamble. Not charms. You can’t cuff him just because of that

@nellyblessing91 Some of this can be from lack of parental care,most of this children are not paid attention to at home..,some from peer pressure?

@nuel_nino Normal level for school that year nah

@officialcomo Disrespect to his belief.

@milly_posh21 His protecting himself from his intergrated science teacher ???

@motilola And he is in handcuffs cos of the charm not cos of the drugs he does in d forest… if that was a bible would he be under arrest?

@tosan_wumi May we not give birth to children that will deviate from God’s word
