Associates of Osun State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP chieftain, Senator Ademola Adeleke, who is famed as the Dancing Senator, have rebuffed claims that he can neither read nor write. The agents have further debunked the claim of certificate forgery against him by critics within and outside the party.

A lawyer and PDP chieftain, Hashim Abioye rebuffed the claims in a session on Channels Television’s Politics Today anchored by Seun Okinbaloye.

Another PDP chieftain Akin Adeyi had made the claim saying that Senator Adeleke if he could speak could have come forward to the television interface.

“This is someone who served as a senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He was in the Upper Chambers of the National Assembly, he moved motions, he sponsored bills and contributed to debates and on the floor of the Senate he didn’t hire Mr. Adeyi’s mouth to do all these,” Abioye said during the television programme.

While Adeyi insisted on his claim that Senator Adeleke cannot read, he said that the certificates paraded by Senator Adeleke were suspicious with various names saying that the All Progressives Congress, APC was eagerly wishing for him to emerge as the PDP candidate.

According to him APC chieftains would immediately approach the court to disqualify Adeleke should he emerge as the PDP candidate, and by that, deny the party the opportunity of contesting the governorship.

Adeyi also faulted what he described as discrepancies in the age of the senator with various claims at 1960 and 1961.

“We have some other documents where he is described as Jackson Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke and all of these are by one person,” he said adding that “the opposition are waiting for him and they are even begging us to present him.”

GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that Senator Adeleke, his nephew Dele Adeleke and four others have been cleared to partake in the Osun primaries scheduled for March 7, 2022.
