The social media war between sex stimulant merchant, Jaruma and top actress Regina Daniels has taken a new turn after civil rights activist, Omoyele Sowore, filed a N200 million law suit against Ned Nwoko and the police over his recent arrest.

GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that Sowore got into the fight after he openly criticized Ned Nwoko for allegedly using his influence to muscle the arrest of Jaruma who was engaged in a fight with his wife, Regina Daniels over a contract dispute.

Sowore was subsequently arrested and detained by the police over his intervention.

Reacting to his recent arrest, Sowore lawyer, Barrister Tope Tomekun, in a statement made available on Monday, said his chamber had commenced litigation against Nwoko and the police at a Federal High Court, Abuja.

He said, “wẹ Have commenced the process of slamming N 200 million damages fundamental rights enforcement suit in the Federal High Court, Abuja, on behalf of Omoyele Sowore against the acclaimed billionaire politician, Hon. Ned Nwoko, and the police authorities for the illegal arrest of Omoyele Sowore at the Court of Appeal premises on February 24, 2022 and for the improper use of powers by the Nigeria Police to lay siege on the entire Court of Appeal for Omoyele Sowore on the prompting of the billionaire.

“Hopefully, tomorrow, the court process shall be served on the respondents, i.e. the Nigeria Police Force, the IG of Police, the Commissioner of Police for FCT and Hon. Ned Nwoko, who are respondents,” the Sowore lawyer said in respect of the court suit.

“We need to come together to interrogate the power of money in our policing system. Just a few weeks ago, the Hon. Ned Nwoko used the police to arrest Hauwa Saidu Mohammed, also  known as Jaruma, for mere social media banters and had her detained for three days on the same allegation of defamation like he is alleging against Sowore now. For how long will this continue?” he queried.
