The video of the moment Chidinma Ojukwu, the 300-level Mass Communication student of the University of Lagos swept inmates and officials of the Kirikiri, Lagos Maximum Security prison with her catwalk in the Tuesday beauty contest has emerged.

GreenWhiteGreen GWG had earlier reported that Chidinma Ojukwu won the beauty contest that was held within the prison facility to commemorate the International Women’s Day. The contest was allegedly organised on Tuesday.

Though many have condemned the exercise, the officials have defended the competition saying that it was meant to build up the morale of the inmates.

Attention on Chidinma Ojukwu has been propelled by the gravity of the offence alleged against her. She is alleged to have killed her lover, Michael Usifo Ataga, the Chief Executive Officer, CEO of Super TV after they had settled in their love nest in the Lekki area of Lagos last June.

Some of the opposition against the participation of Chidinma Ojukwu in the prison beauty contest may have been fuelled by the emotional impact that the sight of her alluring and dazzling catwalk may have on the relatives of her alleged victim.

GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that observers have also in the past expressed amazement at the appearance and catwalk of Chidinma Ojukuw during her court trial as she often looked more like a model than a murder suspect coming from prison.
