How Hoodlums killed Lecturer, Tailor In Jos Community

A lecturer with the Department of Psychology, Federal University, Gashua, Yobe State, Sani Muhammad Mazadu and a tailor, Safiyanu Sa’id, have been killed during a clash between two rival groups, popularly known as “Sara Suka” around Yankwalba area of Jos, in Plateau State.

This came while residents of the State are still trying to recover from the recent devastating attacks that claimed scores of people and properties in some hinterland communities of the State.

It was however, gathered from a relative of the lecturer, Jamilu Abdullahi Mazadu, that the unfortunate incident took place on Monday night.

He said the matter had been reported to the Anguwan Rogo Police Division, and the police had visited the family of the deceased.

He further disclosed that a suspect in connection to the incident had been arrested by the police.

According to the relative, “The deceased lecturer was about to complete his PhD before the sad incident.

“The death of Sani has indeed shocked everyone of us, but we believe that Allah has permitted that he would no longer be with us anymore.”

He confirmed that both victims were buried Tuesday morning, according to Islamic rites.

“We pray Allah forgive them. Sani was a very jovial and friendly person,” he lamented.
