Army Troops Find Chibok School Girl With Baby

One of the 276 girls abducted by Boko Haram from the Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State has been found by troops of the 26 Task Force Brigade.

The lady identified as Mary Ngoshe, is believed to be one of the girls abducted from the Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State, on April 14, 2014, an incident that opened the floodgate of attacks on educational institutions in Northern Nigeria.

GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that the Boko Haram fighters had invaded the school in April 2014 and abducted 276 students.

While more than 50 escaped, released under a deal at the onset of the Muhammadu Buhari administration but many of them are still unaccounted for.

Most of those who have been found in isolated cases have been found with babies.

Revealing the discovery of another Chibok girl, the Nigerian Army in a tweet on Wednesday morning said that during patrol in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno, Ngoshe was found with her child.

“Troops of 26 Task Force Brigade of the HQ Nigerian Army on patrol around Ngoshe in Borno State on 14 June 2022 intercepted one Mrs Mary Ngoshe and her son.”

“She is believed to be one of the abducted girls from GGSS Chibok in 2014. Further exploitation ongoing,” the tweet on how the Chibok School girl was found read.
