Shock As Flood Sweeps Away Student In Ondo
Flood reportedly swept away a child identified as Motunrayo John, a Junior Secondary School student of Mount Carmel Girls School, Ikare Akoko, the headquarters of the Ikare Akoko Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The flood was said to have been caused by a downpour in the community in Ondo.

The details of the incident were still sketchy as of the time of filing this report, but it was gathered that the incident happened on Tuesday in Semusemu area of the town.
A source in the community stated that the girl was playing with erosion and she put her legs inside the water when she mistakenly slipped into the water and was carried away.
The source said, “The only thing found while searching for her is her mathematical set.”

The Divisional Police Officer in Ikare Akoko, Mr. Olatujoye Akinwande, who confirmed the incident said the school principal, Mrs. Ajoke Asiwaju, reported the unfortunate incident at the police station.
Mr. Olatujoye Akinwande also said the search and rescue operation had commenced.
