Yusuf added that Oni attempted to escape when the security operatives questioned him to find out where he got the cables in his possession from but was arrested by members of the state-owned security outfit.

According to him, the suspect was interrogated without torture. Yusuf said Oni “confessed to having stolen the cables around the spot he was nabbed.”

He said, “It took the team hours to get to the actual place where the cables were stolen as he took them to many wrong locations before he opened up and mentioned that the crime was perpetrated in Deeper Life Church, State Headquarters. At the church, the chief security officer and others were surprised and asked him how he managed to escape being caught by the security team of the church.”

Reports reveals that the suspect would be prosecuted after investigation.
