Suspense, Excitement As Buzz Of Ambode’s Defection To Labour Party Heightens

The social media space has been filled with suspense and excitement over reports of the imminent defection of the immediate past former Lagos State governor, Akinwunmi Ambode to Labour Party.

Despite the excitement, a former aide of Ambode’s told GreenWhiteGreen GWG that nothing has been confirmed. “I think they are looking at it. Nothing has been confirmed,” the former senior aide and confidant of Ambode said.

The suspicion of the move heightened after the former Governor shared a post on his verified Twitter page, where he stated clearly that ‘the youths are coming’, he further said that this is time for the youths.

The post which was shared in February, however, recently got people talking.

Urging Nigerians to get their PVC’s Ambode wrote: “The youths are coming. The power is in their hands. Go and get your Permanent Voters Card (PVC) ready. Your future is NOW!”

This development has sparked massive reactions from social media users, who took to their handles to encourage him stating that the move was a right move.
