See Premier League Club City’s Haaland Is Relishing Coming Up Against

Erling Haaland has revealed that he is relishing the battles against Manchester United this season, following his marquee move to bitter rivals Manchester City.

After much speculation, Haaland sealed a €60m move to City back in May following two and a half prolific campaigns at Borussia Dortmund.

On Sunday the Norwegian was finally unveiled at his new club alongside fellow new arrivals Julian Alvarez, Kalvin Phillips and Stefan Ortega Moreno in a special event at the Etihad Stadium.

During the presentation, Haaland was asked which club he was most looking forward to facing during the 2022/23 – and his answer was unsurprising.

“I don’t like to say the words… but Manchester United yeah,” he said, his answer drawing loud chats of ‘CITY!’ from the crowd in response.

Haaland has two reasons to want to get one over on United. Not only is he now a City player, he was also born in Leeds – one of the Red Devils’ other big rivals.

Haaland will have to wait a little longer to experience his first action as a Cityzen, with Pep Guardiola’s side not scheduled to play their first pre-season game against Club America until Thursday 21 July.

When he does take to the field he will do so with the number nine on his back, following the departure of Gabriel Jesus to Arsenal recently.
