One of Nigeria’s most known actresses, Ada Ameh has died at 48, The Nation newspaper quoting a source reported on Monday.

Ada Ameh who has played the role of Emu Johnson in the popular comedy serial, The Johnsons reportedly died in Warri, Delta State around 11 pm on Sunday.

According to a report, Ms Ada Ameh was said to have been a guest of an oil company top shot and his family in the oil city when she suddenly collapsed.

Sources disclosed that she was rushed to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation’s, NNPC hospital but passed on even before they arrived at the facility.

GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that some of Nigeria’s leading stars in the movie industry have been paying tributes to the movie star.

Some have also been reportedly going to the NNPC facility to confirm and pay tribute to the lady.

GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that Ada Ameh, shot into fame with her role as Anita in the movie ‘Domitilla’ in 1996, but is famous across many Nigerian homes for her comic characters, especially in the series The Johnsons.

Born on May 15, 1974, in Ajegunle, Lagos, the popular actress shared a video of her eating with the family around 12:53 pm on Sunday on her official Instagram page.

Ada Ameh was a single mother who incidentally lost her only daughter about two years ago.
