Muslim-Muslim Ticket: Nigerians Rage Over Hired, Fake Bishops At Shettima’s Unveiling

All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu has been put on the spot by social media users in Nigeria following allegations that unknown bishops said to be fake clerics were hired to parade the unveiling of Senator Kashim Shettima as his running mate.

The event on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, took place at Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja.

This is coming one week after the former governor of Lagos State announced the ex-Borno governor as his running mate.

The unveiling of Shettima on Wednesday was, however, shadowed with controversy as many Nigerians alleged that many of those who were robed as Christian bishops and clerics were hired to attend the event. The presence of the supposed Christian clerics was to portray acceptance of the APC Muslim-Muslim ticket by the Christian community.
