Students, Youths Protest As Abductors Kill LAUTECH Student, Hotelier
Some students of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology LAUTECH, Ogbomoso, joined by youths in the university town on Wednesday morning staged a public protest over the reported killing of a female final year student and a hotelier by Kidnappers.
GWG gathered that the news of the alleged killing of the LAUTECH Final year student, Rachael Opadele, and the hotelier, Olugbenga Owolabi sparked the protest.

Although the police was yet to give a confirmation about the killing, sources close to the student’s family said the two of them were shot dead after the kidnappers had collected a N5m ransom.
The okada rider, who took the ransom to the kidnapper’s den, was reportedly shot, but the sources said he was still alive.
When contacted, the Student Union President of LAUTECH, Anuoluwa Adeboye, said he had not confirmed the news from the police.
Multiple sources said the Ogbomoso-Ilorin road had been taken over by the angry protesters who are protesting the alleged killing of the victims.
The two victims were abducted on Thursday night at the hotel located in the Abaa community in Surulere Local Government Area.
