Tyson Fury, a two-time world heavyweight champion,  has taken to his social media handle to announce his retirement from boxing.

The British boxer in the post on Saturday hinted that he would retire from boxing when he turns 34.

The announcement is coming three days after Fury said he would be returning to the ring to fight.

GWG recalls that Fury had on Tuesday announced that he would return to the boxing ring.

The boxer had wanted to fight Derek Chisora, whom he called out in a video on Instagram.

Fury said, “You’re running, Derek, from the trilogy, you call yourself war, you should call yourself a chicken. I’ve decided to come back to boxing because I can be the first heavyweight world champion in history to have two trilogies. I’d always say I’d fight Derek Chisora at the end of my career.”

Fury in the post on his social media page wrote, “Massive thanks to everyone who had an input in my career over the years & after long hard conversations (I’ve) finally decided to walk away & on my 34th birthday I say bon voyage.”

Tyson Fury had in April before the clash with Dillian Whyte at London’s Wembley Stadium given notice of his retirement.

The British after his sixth-round KO over Whyte on April 23 said, “I think this is it.”
