He added that he joined APC because of its constitutional vow to eliminate all forms of discrimination and social injustice in the country.

Kenneth Okonkwo stated his reasons for joining APC in an interview on Channels television, stating that “I joined APC in 2016 when Boko Haram was allegedly technically defeated.”

He said, “APC has not done anything because the insecurity that was limited to the Northeast before has now spread all over Nigeria.

“I did not subscribe to the fact that ASUU will be at home, students at home, my younger ones deny education for seven months and there’s no end in sight.”

Responding to the issues of corruption, Okonkwo, who is also the convener of the Campaign for Equity and Justice in Nigeria, said, “I did not vote for animals to begin to manifest as witches stealing our money. So in APC government everybody has become a thief, including animal, please we need redemption.

“You can imagine in APC government we are witnessing termites eating documents, monkey swallowing money, snakes becoming money eaters.

“One person who is supposed to be the custodian of the money of Nigeria is alleged to have stolen 109bn the provable one,” Kenneth Okonkwo said in affirming the failures of the APC as unpardonable.

Kenneth Okonkwo had earlier claimed to have resigned from the All Progressive Congress in July in the interest of equity, justice, fairness, and peaceful co-existence among Nigerians after the party’s Muslim-Muslim ticket.
