Man Arraigned For Defrauding Girlfriend Of N2m, Uses Money To Marry Another Lady

A 30-year- old man, Akeem Bello has been arraigned before an Akure Magistrate’s Court for allegedly defrauding his girlfriend, Olaotan Oladapo, of  the sum of N2 million.

Even more, it was deposed in court that the alleged victim has destroyed her womb after committing serial abortions for the suspect.

Akeem was arraigned on two count charges of fraud and obtaining by false pretence.

He was said to have committed the offence between March and December this year.

It was gathered that the defendant started dating the victim in 2018.

Police prosecutor, Inspector A. Ajeniwa informed the court that the man began defrauding the former girlfriend in 2020 by converting the money she sent to him from overseas to his personal use.

Inspector Ajenwa alleged that Akeem used the money for his wedding to another lady.

Ajeniwa said the womb of the victim has been damaged due to series of abortions done for the defendant.

He said the offences contravened Sections 383 and 421,390 (b and c) of the Criminal Code Cap. 37. Vol. 1, Laws of Ondo State, 2006.

Presiding Magistrate, C.M Akinwumi ordered the remand of the defendant at Olokuta Custodial Centre.

The case was adjourned to November 2nd, 2022 for further hearing. (The Nation)

Meanwhile, Apostle Johnson Suleman of Omega Fire Ministries, has strongly denied a viral claim by a police officer about him using mobile policemen for rituals.

The accusation by a policeman who goes by the name Seyi Peter followed the Friday evening attack on Apostle Johnson Suleman that left three policemen and four others dead. Apostle Suleman who was traveling with his family escaped unscathed from the attack. He is believed to have been in a bulletproof vehicle when the attack happened.
