Adeboye Rechristened Me Abraham, Called Me Father Of Nations – Tinubu

Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of All Progressive Party (APC) has claimed that the influential cleric and pastor of the popular Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Enoch Adeboye, rechristened him Abraham.

According to him, on the day his wife, Remi, was ordained as an RCCG pastor, the former Lagos State governor claimed that the RCCG general overseer referred to him as “Father of Nations.”

Tinubu made the announcement to the Kano chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria on Monday, Peoples Gazette reported him as saying but was unable to confirm his claim right away.

Tinubu’s selection of former Borno State governor Kashim Shettima as his running mate as a Muslim has sparked outrage among Christians, with many accusing the ruling APC of attempting to Islamize Nigeria.

Babachir Lawal, a Tinubu ally and APC chieftain, has threatened that Christians would vote against the APC, calling the same faith ticket “satanic.”

Peoples Gazette exclusively reported in July that President Muhammadu Buhari was warned in a secret memo by the State Security Service that Mr Tinubu’s choice of vice-presidential candidate for the 2023 presidential election would spark a sectarian crisis, potentially destabilising Nigeria.
