New Account On How Sammie Okposo Died By Manager

A new account of how Sammie Okposo died was emerging on Sunday after his project manager, Hillary Vincent, denied media reports that the Wellu Wellu crooner slumped and died on Friday, November 25.

Rather, Vincent said that the singer died in his sleep contrary to the media reports that he slumped and died.

Setting the records straight, Vincent in an interview with Punch, said late Okposo died in his sleep. In his words:

“It is not true that Sammie slumped and died. That report is false. At the right time, the family will set the records straight. But, I can tell you authoritatively that he did not slump. Rather, he just did not wake up from his sleep.

As regards the funeral arrangements, the details will be made known by the family. But right now, they are still in grief and mourning the departed singer,” the project manager said following his clarifications that Sammie Okposo slumped and died.

The 51-year-old singer left behind his wife, Ozzy, and children.

Meanwhile, GWG.NG reports that the newly inaugurated governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke has ordered the freezing of the state’s accounts with all the banks in the country.

He spoke following the claims by his predecessor, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola that he left behind N14 billion cash in the state’s accounts.
