Controversy Deepens Over Hospital Killing Of Delta Doctor
The Public Relations Officer, PRO of the Delta State police command, DSP Bright Edafe, has dismissed as erroneous claims that a medical doctor, Dr Uyi Iluobe who worked in a hospital in Oghara was killed by relatives of a patient who supposedly died in the hospital.
According to him the claim as buttressed by the Nigerian Medical Association, NMA that the doctor was killed by relatives of a deceased patient was erroneous as he disclosed that Dr Iluobe was killed by cultists who invaded the hospital where he worked.
It had earlier been reported that the NMA had petitioned the police unearth the identity of the assassins.
However, in a twist earlier on Tuesday, the Police PRO in an update on the development said that the deceased doctor was killed by cultists who invaded the church.
The police spokesman who released a picture of the NMA officials briefing the State Commissioner of Police on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 stated that the deceased was killed by cultists who came into the hospital and not family members of a patient.
