Following allegations that she stabbed her boyfriend when he urinated in their bed, a woman in East Baton Rouge, Louisiana, has been charged with attempted murder.

The man was receiving medical attention for a perforated lung and a stabbing wound to the left side of his body following the incident on January 14.

He informed the police that after he urinated on the bed that they had been sharing for the past 18 months, his girlfriend Briana Lacost, 25, became “very upset.”

The report also mentioned that the victim and Briana were both drunk after the night’s drinking.

The victim informed police that after peeing on the bed, Lacost woke him up and began beating him. Lacost allegedly ran at him with a kitchen knife while he was trying to escape from her.

Lacost said deputies she and her boyfriend intended to split up when investigators spoke with her. She testified to deputies that she “pulled” her lover off the bed because she was angry that he had peed on himself and caused a fight with her.

Lacost also told authorities that when her boyfriend began to choke her during the altercation, she stabbed him under the left arm in self-defense. She attempted to provide medical assistance before taking her partner to the hospital.

The woman was accused of second-degree attempted murder by deputies following the allegation that she stabbed her boyfriend while he was on the bed.
