Woman Bites Off Another’s Breast in Petrol Line Battle
A woman had her breast partially bitten off during a battle for position at a petrol station in Delta State. The women were jostling over positions in the queue for petrol according to reports.
Both women are said to be black market petrol dealers in Warri and were struggling for the product to sell, DAILY POST reports.
It took the intervention of other customers at the gas station to break up the fight between the two women. Even after the battle had been broken up, the woman whose breast was bitten was still bleeding heavily.
Most vendors in Warri and the surrounding area were still selling the product for N500 a litre, according to the DAILY POST correspondent who traveled around the city to observe the situation at fuel stations.
Transportation has also increased, and many of the transporters now demand payment in brand-new naira notes in order to beat the Central Bank of Nigeria’s deadline of January 31.
Due to the increase in gasoline prices, almost all highways were deserted at the time of this report, with few or no vehicles using them.
The situation is really difficult and is wearing on the populace, according to a client who only went by the name Ogochukwu and spoke with Daily Post. He urged the APC-led federal government of President Muhammadu Buhari to take immediate action to lower the price of gasoline and relieve the stress on the populace.
When speaking with our correspondent, a second buyer who only went by the name Akpevwe claimed that marketers were stockpiling the goods. He claimed that politicians were responsible for the current gasoline price increase and added that many individuals had found their abilities because they were now journeying far distances to follow their money.
He urged the government to pressure petroleum marketers to provide the product to customers at the agreed-upon pump price of 166 naira before the 2023 election.
