Kanu Nwankwo Trends After Disowning Tinubu (Video)
Former Nigerian international Kanu Nwankwo has denied reports of his endorsement of All Progressives Congress, APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu saying that he is a footballer and not disposed to any presidential candidate.
GWG.ng reports that the denial of Tinubu by Kanu Nwankwo is coming almost a year after he joined some other football stars to make an appearance at Tinubu’s residence during his 70th birthday anniversary.
He had at that time claimed that his relationship with Tinubu flowed from the support the APC presidential candidate gave to him when he was founding his foundation.
Many Nigerians including Omoyele Sowore had at that time flayed the footballer and his colleagues of hunger in making their pitch for Tinubu.
However, months after, Kanu Nwankwo has now come to dissociate himself from Tinubu and any other politician insisting that he is not a politician but a footballer.
In a post on his twitter handle, he said:
Hello my country people. Do what is right and vote. Kindly stop spreading fake news in my name that I ask you to vote for anyone 😂 am not the one to choose who you will vote for so stop this rubbish with my name and go and get your PVC and vote am not a politician
Kanu Nwankwo in dissociating himself from Tinubu further asked people to vote for a particular candidate is spreading fake news.
The denial of Tinubu by Kanu Nwankwo was trending on twitter on Saturday night.
