Woman On Birth Control Gives Birth To Baby Holding IUD

A 20-year-old woman who was on birth control when she became pregnant gave birth to a baby boy who was born with an IUD in his hand.

Violet Quick, an Idaho native, married John Francis at the age of 19. At the time of their wedding, they had no plans to start a family. However, after one year of marriage, they learned they were expecting. Rudy was born to Violet and John around the end of January 2022.

Millions of people have seen the new mother’s viral video where the newborn boy can be seen clutching her contraceptive device.

She said that even the nurses were taken aback by Rudy as they hurried to view her IUD baby.

Violet disclosed in a series of videos that she had taken a pregnancy test as a precaution after experiencing nausea for the previous two weeks.

She penned: “I used my Skyla IUD for nine months prior to being pregnant, and I decided to take a pregnancy test because I had been experiencing nausea for approximately two weeks and was occasionally throwing up.

I took a test because I had no idea what was going on, and the results came back immediately positive.” Even if they were using birth control, she recommended her followers to take a test if they were noticing any signs.

The effectiveness of an intrauterine device (IUD) in preventing pregnancy is estimated to be greater than 99%. However, it has been reported that some women have gotten pregnant while taking it.
