Emefiele prayer Senator

Senator Ben Murray-Bruce has issued an urgent prayer alert for Mr Godwin Emefiele, governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN saying that his life is under threat on account of the ongoing naira redesign policy of the apex bank.

Murray-Bruce, a former senator said that the implementation of the new policy has undercut the plot by some political actors to buy votes during the forthcoming General Election.

In two tweets at the weekend in which he gushed over the prospects of vote buyers being put out of market Murray-Bruce, however, expressed concern over the fate of Mr Emefiele who he said had become the target of vicious attacks by vote buyers.

He said:

Godwin Emefiele is a God sent to this nation. For the first time in forever, vote buying will be almost eliminated. In a country with 130 million multidimensionally poor people, this is a giant step for democracy.

He then went on to ask Nigerians to invoke serious prayers for the safety of Emefiele.

I urge all patriotic Nigerians to pray for his safety as he is targeted by desperate politicians.

GWG.ng reports that Senator Murray-Bruce’s prayer request for Emefiele was, however, met with mixed feelings as some responded that the CBN policy had done extensive harm to many Nigerians.
