Nigerian singer Wizkid has announced that his North American More Love, Less Ego tour, originally scheduled for this upcoming spring, has been postponed until Fall 2023.

The announcement was made on the artiste’s Instagram stories on Wednesday night, citing unforeseen circumstances as the reason for the delay.

“All tickets purchased for the originally scheduled shows will be honored on the new dates at the respective venues,” read the post. “Stay tuned for more information.”

Wizkid, whose real name is Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, had announced the tour to promote his fifth studio album of the same name. The tour was set to include stops in 20 cities across the United States, including Houston, Dallas, Miami, and New York City.

Last November, the artist appeared on The Tonight Show and performed his single “Money & Love” from his most recent LP, which arrived that month. Rolling Stone praised the album, describing it as “soulful, uplifting songs by Afrobeats’ top artist.”

It is currently unclear whether the postponed tour will include the same cities as the original itinerary. Fans who have purchased tickets for the now-delayed shows can rest assured that their tickets will be honored on the new dates.

The announcement comes as a disappointment to many Wizkid fans, who were eagerly anticipating the artist’s North American tour.
