Mercy Johnson Under Fire After Endorsing Sanwo-Olu For Second Term

Popular Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson has come under fire for endorsing Governor Babajide Sanwolu’s bid for a second term as governor of Lagos State under the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Taking to her Instagram page, Mercy Johnson declared her intention to vote for Babajide Sanwo-Olu in the gubernatorial election, which has been postponed to March 18th.

Mercy Johnson explained that she is willing to vote for the governor’s re-election because she believes that his administration’s accomplishments are noticeable and can be verified.

She wrote:

“This is why my choice is Governor Babajide Sanwoolu; His efforts that have improved healthcare, women’s development, transportation, entrepreneurship, education, and infrastructure in Lagos State.

Key points for me include the handling of the Covid 19 pandemic, entrepreneurship support and all the work behind the scenes helping women who have been victims of domestic violence to supporting their entrepreneurship.

His results can be seen and measured. Yes, there is still a lot of work left to do, I believe in my heart that he can and will do as he says.”

However, netizens dragged her for supporting Sanwo-Olu;
