Omo-Agege third Senate term

Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Delta State has disclaimed reports of his membership of a traditional religious cult saying that the insinuations that he is not a Christian were being pushed by his political enemies.

Omo-Agege who did not mention the name of the cult in a viral video said that he is a Christian and had been so since his days at St. Georges College, Obinomba in Ukwani Local Government Area.

“When I hear people who are not even Christians make these allegations I laugh,” he said in the six minutes video.

“Affirming that he is a practising Catholic he also dismissed insinuations that he would abolish the three new universities recently established by the outgoing Ifeanyi Okowa administration.

Senator Omo-Agege also dismissed allegations that he would as governor dissolve the Delta Oil Mineral Producing Commission, DESOPADEC saying that he was a facilitator in the creation of the agency, affirming that the agency was one of his last acts as Secretary to the State Government in the James Ibori administration.

Omo-Agege is locked in battle this weekend with two major candidates, Sheriff Oborevwori of the PDP and Deacon Ken Pela of the Labour Party.

The insinuation that he is a worshipper of a traditional cult is one of the allegations critics of Omo-Agege had levelled against him.
