Faith and David Oyedepo are laughing off critics after miscarriage tweet

Faith, wife of Dr David Oyedepo, the founder of Living Faith Churches aka Winners Chapel has intervened after her husband became the object of relentless drag on social media by what some have alleged as a mix of feminists, atheists and doctors, following her disclosure of her husband’s reaction to a miscarriage scare.

GWG.ng reports that Faith Oyedepo had in a tweet on Monday made reference to how her husband told her to prepare a meal for him when he returned home to find her bleeding with the scare of a miscarriage.

She tweeted thus:

The tweet galvanised outrage among many who called Doctor Oyedepo a chauvinist for not considering the plight of her wife who they claimed had suffered a miscarriage.

However, there were others, especially among believers of the faith that Oyedepo is known for who saw it as a demonstration of his faith that the miscarriage would not hold who backed the cleric.

GWG.ng reports that there were others who also attacked Faith Oyedepo for belittling the esteem of womanhood by her tweet with some saying that the attitude of her husband at a time she was thought to have suffered a miscarriage was enough grounds for divorce.

GWG.ng gathered some of the tweets:

Lol. My own is that any Christian that finds a problem with that tweet should review their belief system & start worshipping Amadioha bc that is clearly what FAITH is about!

If this is what ‘true christianity’ is, I’d gladly worship the host of Amadioha, Sango and the rest. Humanity will always come first for me.

Na even grounds for divorce 😭😭you Dey bleed, your man dey ask for hot pounded yam with egusi 😂😂

Baba kundus @FSESSY

She was not bleeding when her husband came in …she was telling her husband what happened earlier in the day …

The only people that’ll not be rattled by this are the hungry alpha malus on Twitter.

And also some Christian that understands how faith works. Like me.

I think what the story wud have added is that, that bold declaration and “asking for food” by bishop settles the case FOREVER.

But I understand twitter world’s rages, only a faith minded believer can relate. Moral: ask questions when needed instead of attacking every tweet.

God is always in the business of bringing people together. No matter who they are or where they stand 😂😂

About 16 hours later, Mrs Faith Oyedepo came out with another tweet explaining that the words of her husband galvanised her faith and kept her pregnancy and avoided the miscarriage.

While many who share her faith in Christ applauded her husband, the happy ending was, however, not enough to satisfy harsh critics over the words of David Oyedepo on the feared miscarriage.
