Chelsea boss Graham Potter has expressed his frustration at his side’s lack of concentration and cutting edge as they fell to a 2-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge to Aston Villa.

Chelsea have dropped into the bottom half of the Premier League table as the pressure continues to mount on manager Graham Potter after they suffered a 2-0 home defeat against Aston Villa on Saturday. Ollie Watkins and John McGinn fired the visitors to victory, lifting them above the Blues in the table, who have dropped to 11th.

“If you look at the stats of the game, apart from the most important stat, there’s a lot there that says we did well but ultimately the two boxes are the most important area and that’s where we have come up short”. GWG.ng quotes Graham Potter as telling Sky Sports.

“Today is a setback, of course it is because we’re disappointed to lose at home and we can feel the pain of the supporters. We have to dust ourselves down and go again on Tuesday.

GWG.ng reports that their 2-0 loss at home to Aston Villa now stretches their winless streak at Stamford Bridge after their 1-1 draw vs Everton before the international break.
