Former Senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the 8th National Assembly, Shehu Sani has said Supporters of the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi are more peaceful in conduct compared to incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari’s supporters in 2011.

GWG.ng reports that before the merger of different parties that birthed the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2014, Buhari ran under the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC). It was after the successful merger that APC defeated former President Goodluck Jonathan of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who seeking re-election at the time.

Sani in a tweet via his verified Twitter handle on Wednesday said Nigerians only need to recall the past to appreciate what Obi’s supporters who are popularly called ‘Obidients’ are doing today.

“NO patriot should trigger or encourage anarchy;but we shouldn’t also ‘shorten our memories’;what Peter’s supporters are doing in 2023 is more peaceful than what Buhari’s supporters did in 2011. You only need to recall the past in order appreciate the present,” he tweeted.
