The Supreme Court has adjourned until May 26 to deliver judgment in a  case by Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) seeking the disqualification of President-elect, Sen. Bola Tinubu and Kassim Shettima, the vice-president-elect.

The PDP had urged the apex court to reverse the Court of Appeal judgment, led by Justice James Abundaga, which held that the party failed to establish its locus standi on the case it filed on the eligibility of Senator Kasshim Shettima to be nominated as the vice-presidential candidate on the premise that he had earlier been nominated for the position of Borno Central Senatorial candidate of the APC as against the provisions of the new Electoral Act.(NAN)

GWG.ng reports that scaling the hurdle of the Supreme Court in this case could position the president-elect and his running mate for inauguration.
