Biden Names US General, Nigerian-American In Powerful Delegation To Tinubu’s Inauguration

President Joseph Biden has announced a powerful delegation to the presidential inauguration of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on May 29, 2023 with a powerful general, a high ranking Nigerian American among others in the delegation to be led by the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, HUD, Honorable Marcia L. Fudge.

The naming of the high powered delegation GWG.ng reports could further demoralize the opposition in Nigeria that has been at its wits end over the apparent cavort with the Tinubu administration.

Among those named in the delegation is the Nigerian-born Enoh Titilayo Ebong, who is the director of the United States Trade and Development Agency.

A statement published on the White House website named the full delegation as announced by President Biden to the Tinubu inauguration to be led by Secretary Fudge to include the following:

Mr. David Greene, Chargé d’Affaires, a.i., U.S. Embassy Abuja

The Honorable Sydney Kamlager-Dove, United States Representative (D), California

The Honorable Marisa Lago, Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade, U.S. Department of Commerce

General Michael E. Langley, Commander of U.S. Africa Command

The Honorable Enoh T. Ebong, Director, U.S. Trade and Development Agency

The Honorable Mary Catherine Phee, Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of African Affairs, U.S. Department of State

The Honorable Judd Devermont, Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for African Affairs, National Security Council

The Honorable Monde Muyangwa, Assistant Administrator for the Bureau for Africa, U.S. Agency for International Development.

GWG.ng reports that the opposition has yet to react to the decision of Biden to name a powerful delegation to the inauguration of Tinubu as president.
