Nigerians At War Over Hilda Baci’s Dog Meat Delicacy
Popular Nigerian Chef, Hilda Baci has stirred strong controversy after she was seen in a video tying out several Akwa Ibom delicacies including a dog meat delicacy.
Recall, that Hilda Baci who hails from Akwa Ibom, recently received international acclaim after she set a new Guinness World Record for cooking non-stop for 100 hours.
Given her international acclaim, some Netizens bashed that she shouldn’t be seen promoting the eating dog meat so that foreigners do not get a wrong impression about Nigerians.
However, others backed Hilda Baci claiming that eating dog meat is no different from eating other animals, despite dogs being popular as pets to humans. They also stressed that it is part of Hilda Baci’s culture in Akwa Ibom to eat dog meat.
A popular dog lover, and president of a non-profit organization also known as “mydogandigroup” also called out Hilda and condemned the practice. Commenting under Hilda’s post, she stated; ”HILDA EATING DOGS!!! ARE DOGLOVERS A JOKE TO YOU!!! Eating dogmeat, eating our furbabies!!!!”
