Tinubu cautions on national assembly's disturbance of his ministers

Barring any last-minute changes, President Bola Tinubu is set to make 20 new appointments to establish his media and personal aides to oil the wheel of governance and communication may be released soon, according to a report by Persecondnews.

The report said that of the 20 names already pencilled down, only eight names of media professionals featured as special assistants to the President on media, digital and new media, social media, videography, and photography.

According to a list reportedly sighted by the online news platform, President Bola Tinubu’s Media Officer, Tunde Rahman, had been penciled down as SSAP (Media), while Abdulaziz Abdualziz was being considered as SSAP (Print Media) as Otega Ogara was being tapped for SSAP (Digital/ New Media).

Also on the list, the report said, were Tope Ajayi (Media & Publicity), Segun Dada (Social Media), Nosa Asemota (Visual Communication), Sunday Moses (Videography) and Taiwo Okanlawon (State Photography).

Presidency sources were quoted to have hinted that the appointments might be announced any time this week.

Meanwhile, the plan by Tinubu to make 20 new appointments came as the immediate past president of the country, Muhammadu Buhari has expressed outrage over reports in some sections of the media that he has opted to go on exile.

Speaking through Mallam Garba Shehu who served as his Senior Special Assistant on Media, the former president said he was in Daura after his visit abroad and that an easy investigation would have established it instead of the rumour about him going on exile.
