Northern Christian Clergy Present Sheikh Zazzaky Presented With Peace Award

A delegation of Northern Nigerian Christian Clergy has bestowed a Peace Award upon Sheikh Ibrahim Yakubu El-Zazzaky, recognizing him as a preeminent symbol of peace in West Africa.

The delegation of Christian clerics from Kaduna, Kano, and Taraba bestowed the award during a visit to Sheikh Zazzaky’s residence in Abuja.

During the awards ceremony in Abuja, Pastor Yohanna Buru, the General Overseer of the Christ Evangelical and Life Intervention Ministry in Kaduna, said that the delegation found it eminently appropriate to bestow honor upon Sheikh Zazzaky due to his profound contributions in fostering harmonious coexistence among adherents of diverse faith-based organizations within the country.

Pastor Buru accentuated that Sheikh Zazzaky consistently imparts teachings of peace and unity amongst Nigerians, transcending boundaries of tribe, religion, and historical context.

The Northern Christian Clergy’s team presented him with an Excellence Award, lauding his efforts to promote enduring peace and stability in the region.

Similarly, Prophet Armstrong Baryakat Ma’Aji from the Lion of the Tribe of Judah (Church of All Nations), Arena of Liberty, extended his felicitations to Sheikh Zazzaky for his unwavering advocacy against injustice and corruption, as well as his endeavors to foster religious concord and the freedom of worship, both in Nigeria and on a global scale.

Prophet Ma’Aji underscored Sheikh Zazzaky’s pivotal role in nurturing peace and religious tolerance among adherents of various faith-based organizations within the country. He added that their prayers would encompass his well-being and felicity.

Another Christian clergy who also accompanied the team to Sheikh Zazzaky’s house in Abuja, Pastor Alkali Musa Nok from Kano State, Northern Nigeria, emphasized Sheikh El-Zazzaky’s instrumental role as an architect of peace, consistently championing the cause of unity across the African continent.

The delegates also offered their heartfelt condolences to Sheikh Zazzaky over the lamentable loss of his children at Zaria and prayed to Almighty God for their souls to rest in perfect peace

“In recognition of his substantial contributions to peacebuilding and interreligious harmony, Sheikh Zazzaky was honored with the title of “Most Outstanding Peace Ambassador of the Year 2023  by the church”

In his response, Sheikh Ibrahim Yakub elzazzaky , the leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, expressed his profound gratitude for the distinction accorded to him by the Christian Clergy delegation from the northern regions of Nigeria

He further underscored the paramount importance of nurturing tranquility and unity among Nigerians and all African nations.

Sheikh Zazzaky earnestly called upon both Muslims and Christians to steadfastly champion the cause of peace and religious harmony in all their interactions.

While calling on all black nations across African countries to equally live in peace and harmony with all mankind irrespective of tribe religion, and cultural background.
