Why I Declined Davido’s Money – Cyclist Who Biked From Benue

Emmanuel Myam, who has been proclaimed as the Benue cyclist who cycled from his native Benue State to meet his music idol, David Adeleke, aka Davido, has given reason for his rejection of the money offered him by the musician.

GWG.ng, in a previous report, had spotlighted Emmanuel’s ambitious expedition to see Davido. However, circumstances led to a unique interaction between the dedicated cyclist and the artiste. Davido, who was not in town during Emmanuel’s arrival, requested the cyclist’s bank details and urged him to return home and await his return. The artiste’s response stirred up considerable online debate.

Interestingly, despite Davido’s offer of financial assistance, Emmanuel declined the monetary gesture. He expressed his eagerness to meet the superstar and personally present a gift he had carried on his journey. In an exclusive interview with Legit Ng, the cyclist elaborated on his motivations. He emphasized that his primary objective was never the money, but rather the long-awaited opportunity to meet Davido face-to-face.

Emmanuel has chosen to keep the door open, allowing Davido the option to bless him if the artiste wishes to do so. The cyclist’s unwavering passion for meeting his musical idol demonstrates the power of fandom and the genuine connections that can emerge from such dedication.
