The newly inaugurated minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has vowed to embark on demolition of houses built illegally.

The minister made the vow in his inaugural address at the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) office on Monday.

GWG.ng reports that Wike was among the 45 ministers whom President Bola Tinubu swore into office at the presidential villa in Abuja.

Flanked by the minister of state, FCT, Mariya Mahmud, Wike vowed to move against structures obstructing Abuja master plan.

“If your house is sitting on where it should not be, it will go down,” he said.
He was, however, quiet on abandoned structures which encapsulates the case of the abandoned national secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, his estranged party which is in court with his new boss, President Bola Tinubu.
