Founder and General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, Prof. Daniel Olukoya, has slammed Nigerian pastors over what he described as “failed prophecies” following the outcome of the 2023 General Election.

According to him, the body of Christ was disgraced as a result of some of the predictions adding that God’s pulpit should not be used for political campaigns as portrayed in the buildup to the election in some congregations.

Addressing his congregation on Sunday, Olukoya lamented how many Christian clerics predicted the outcomes of the 2023 elections but failed.

His words, “You see what happened in Nigeria during these last elections, disgraced the religion of Christianity very well. This prophet said this person would win, and this would not win.

“‘If this one wins, I will become a herbalist, if this one wins, let them cut off my hand, if this one wins this, this one will die before his wish.’

“All did not come to pass, and they call themselves prophets. Prophets of where? It is madness when you begin to say what God does not ask you to say. The pulpit in the house of God is the pillar and ground of truth. It is not for political campaigns”.

Olukoya is one of the most revered deliverance ministers in Nigeria with no fewer than 80 scientific publications to his credit and his assertions on the 2023 election is bound to sober many of his pastor colleagues.
