Femi Fani-Kayode has issued a response to a statement attributed to Pastor Tunde Bakare regarding the demise of Nigerian entertainer, Mohbad.

Pastor Bakare, during a sermon in Leicester, had commented that Mohbad’s life was shortened due to his association with questionable individuals.

In his sermon, Bakare said, “My wife and I listened to a tape last night on MohBad. How many of you know MohBad? The Nigerian artiste who died at 27? MohBad. When he was drinking and smoking and associating with evil men, he does not know that the harvest will come so soon and that he will soon be cut down at the prime of youth.”

Responding to Bakare’s statement, Femi Fani-Kayode emphasized that regardless of Mohbad’s associations or lifestyle, he did not deserve to meet an untimely end.

“Whether the unfortunate young man known as Mohbad was good or bad and whether he associated with evil men or not, he surely did not deserve to be murdered. Everyone has the right to life regardless of the friends they keep, their lifestyle, their name, or the color they dye their hair. Assuming he was murdered, rather than judge him, shouldn’t we be trying to find out who killed him?” stated the APC chieftain.
