London Sky Turns Blue As Chelsea Return To Winning Ways

Published

on

On Monday, the sky over West London turned deep blue after late premier league starters, Chelsea defeated Fulham in the London derby 2-0.

It was the second league win for Chelsea since the beginning of the season and the first win for the former champions on the road in 14 matches. Even more significantly, it was the first away win for  their reviving coach, Mauricio Pochettino who before now was last in London as Tottenham Hotspur manager.

Two first half goals within 80 seconds from their big imports Mykhailo Mudryk in the 18th minute and then from Armando Broja made the difference with Chelsea in major control.

It was Pochetino’s first away victory as manager in 40 matches also

GWG.ng reports that the win takes Chelsea to the 11th position and is bound to be a stepping stone for the London clubside which has found it difficult to transform their major purchases into a winning team.

Remarkably, the two goals came from the two players who needed the goals the most as a morale booster.
