Nigerian actor Ogbu Johnson has stepped forward to address the recent on-set altercation with renowned actor Zubby Michael, clarifying that the incident was a staged scenario for an upcoming film, not a genuine brawl.

The video of their heated exchange had caused a stir online, sparking discussions and concerns about possible disrespect from Johnson towards the seasoned actor.

In response to the online uproar, Destiny Etiko, a close friend of Zubby Michael, had advised budding actors to respect established veterans in the industry. Zubby Michael, in agreement with Etiko, expressed his concerns about Johnson’s behavior potentially jeopardizing his career.

However, on October 9, Ogbu Johnson took to Instagram to set the record straight. In a public statement, he explained that the video circulating online was a meticulously crafted scene from an upcoming movie. Johnson emphasized that the altercation was purely acting, designed to showcase their skills as actors and elevate the quality of cinematic stunts.

Addressing the misunderstandings, Johnson stated, “Some persons have gone ahead trying to create a rift between myself and my senior brother and industry boss by making it appear that I was disrespectful in interpreting my role to the satisfaction of the director and thereby trying to create bad blood between us.” He further asserted, “I make this statement to clear all doubts that I, in no way, mean to disrespect the person of Zubby Michael, my senior colleague, and will do no such thing.”

Ogbu Johnson’s statement aims to dispel any misconceptions and confirm his professional respect for Zubby Michael, reiterating that the on-set incident was purely a portrayal for artistic purposes.
