Obi, Buhari Dragged Into Controversy Over Seyi Tinubu’s Use Of Presidential Jet

The controversy shadowing Seyi Tinubu’s reported presidential jet jaunt to Kano for a game of golf has escalated to the political realm with President Muhammadu Buhari and 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi being dragged into the social media melee.

GWG.ng reports that mixed reactions had trailed the jaunt on a presidential jet with critics flaying Seyi Tinubu for breaching the principle of public accountability. There were, however, those who came to his defence in seeing the use of the presidential jet as noting unusual for Seyi, being the son of President Bola Tinubu.

Meanwhile, along the way there were those who alleged that Seyi Tinubu was not the first child of a president to use the presidential jet as they cited the jaunt to Bauchi by President Buhari’s daughter, Hanan while he was president.

Meanwhile, there were others who sought to allege that Peter Obi as president would not tolerate his son flying the presidential jet as Seyi was alleged to have done.
