Nollywood actor Stan Nze has come under fire on social media after naming his newborn son “Jayden,” a name critics claim has no connect to his cultural heritage.

The backlash came from an Igbo man on the platform X, with the username @Orji_Okosisi1, who expressed his disapproval of the choice.

Taking to his X account, the user @Orji_Okosisi1 questioned the actor’s decision, particularly in light of his Igbo heritage. He criticized the name “Jayden” as a symbol of mental slavery, emphasizing his frustration with the adoption of European names within the Igbo community.

Stan Nze and his wife, Stella Obasi, had celebrated the arrival of their son on social media, but the choice of the name sparked a debate online.
