Real Madrid midfielder, Eduardo Camavinga has penned a new long-term deal with the club that will commit himself until the summer of 2029.

The Frenchman has now committed his future to Los Blancos, keeping him at the club for another five years.

He was signed in 2021 from French Ligue 1 side Rennes and has gone on to establish himself in Carlo Ancelotti’s set up. Just 20 years of age, Camavinga has won all the trophies available at club level. In his first season in Spain, he won the La Liga and UEFA Champions League, the following year he completed club football by winning the Copa Del Rey, Spanish Super Cup, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.

Eduardo Camavinga joins fellow youngsters Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo as the latest to sign new long term contracts with Real Madrid. His new deal also includes a release clause of €1 billion as the club have placed the player as ‘invaluable’.

That clause repels the likes of Arsenal and other European clubs who were after his signature this summer. The Gunners were most interested as they wanted to bring him on a one-year loan, but any plans of a further bid in the January window will now be shut down due to his heavy price tag.
