An unexpected glitch in MTN’s system that initially caused the cancellation of debts owed the network by subscribers has left them uncertain about their debt status, raising concerns that previously canceled debts may still need repayment.

However, an MTN official clarified that the initial debt cancellation was unintentional and resulted from a system error. Subscribers may still be held accountable for the ostensibly cleared debts once MTN rectifies the glitch.
