Grammy award-winning artiste Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has been making headlines with his unexpected visits during his time in Nigeria following his mother’s burial.

The internationally acclaimed singer, known for his overseas residency, recently surprised Nollywood actor and filmmaker Kunle Afolayan. Videos circulating online show Afolayan giving Wizkid a tour of his restaurant and bar in Ikeja.

The actor was visibly honored to host the superstar, and in one clip, Wizkid was seen showering bundles of new N500 notes on Afolayan, who enthusiastically hyped him.

The heartwarming video has left many questioning what the superstar singer was cooking up with his several outings.

GWG.ng reports that the visit came shortly after Wizkid paid a courtesy visit to Fuji maestro, King Wasiu Ayinde, also known as Kwam1. The purpose of the visit was to express gratitude to K1 for attending his late mother’s burial service and delivering a memorable performance. The duo was later seen visiting the Awujale of Ijebu land, Ona Sikiru Kayode Adetona, at the palace, where they received blessings from the monarch.

Wizkid’s whirlwind tour also included a nostalgic visit to his secondary school, Ijebu Ode Grammar School. Videos captured him strolling around the school compound with a group of young enthusiasts.
