Buchi Custody battle for children

Renowned Nigerian comedian, Onyebuchi Ojieh, popularly known as Buchi, has shared a significant update on the custody battle with his estranged wife’s family over his children.

GWG.ng reports that the comedian, who went through a highly publicized separation last year after almost five years of marriage, faced challenges in accessing his two children following the marital discord, which reportedly involved allegations of violence.

In the aftermath, Buchi took to social media, expressing frustration over the custody battle at being kept away from his children by his ex-wife’s family.

However, Buchi recently shared a joyous update, announcing that he has been granted full access to his children bringing to an end the custody battle. Expressing his gratitude to those who supported him during the difficult times, he extended appreciation even to his former in-laws for the experience they shared.

In an online post, Buchi stated, “I have been granted full access to my kids…we’re better in all things…THANK YOU EVERYONE!! The good, the bad, the ugly…Thank you, the SALAMIS, mama Azmin…Engr ISEDE #1 grandpa… Update dropping soon #eruditelawlord soon come.”

The comedian’s heartfelt announcement garnered widespread support and congratulations from well-wishers in the comment section.

GWG.ng reported in September that as the custody battle raged that Buchi had accused his estranged wife’s family of abducting his children and refusing him access to them, alleging that his wife’s family facilitated the abduction of his kids, Isede and Salami.

Issuing them a warning, he noted how they can only stop him from talking to them, but can’t stop the law, as he threw several questions at them.

Last month, Buchi had resumed dragging them alleging that his former inlaws were demanding exorbitant amounts from him before seeing him.

He stated that they reduced his communication with his daughter from twice a week to 1 video call and now voice note, and to worsen it, they always block him after every call until he yields to their demand.
