PDP Youth Leader Aspirant, Tafi-Warwar Opposes New Loans For Tinubu
Peoples Democratic Party, PDP aspirant for the office of National Youth Leader, Hon. Silas Tafi-Warwar has expressed concern over plans for fresh loans by the President Bola Tinubu administration charging the National Assembly to reject the applications.
In a statement made available to GWG.ng Tafi War-War said that the new loan applications could not be justified given the extravagant inclinations of the Tinubu administration.
In the open letter to the National Assembly, Tafi-Warwar said:
“I am writing to express deep concern regarding the prospect of granting fresh loans to President Bola Tinubu, given the reported instances of extravagant spending associated with his administration. It is crucial to prioritize fiscal responsibility and accountability in the allocation of public funds.
“Considering the economic challenges our nation faces, it is imperative that we exercise prudence in financial matters to ensure sustainable development. I urge the National Assembly to thoroughly assess the current financial management practices and expenditures of President Tinubu’s administration before considering any further loans.
Pressing on why the Tinubu administration should not be granted more loans, Tafi-Warwar said:
“By conducting a comprehensive review, we can safeguard the interests of the citizens and promote responsible financial governance. This step is essential to prevent potential adverse effects on our national economy and the well-being of the Nigerian people.”
