Mr Ibu’s Health: Son Gives New Update On Second Amputation, Requests Prayers
Vincent Okafor, the son of renowned actor Mr Ibu, has offered clarification on his father’s recent health challenges, addressing misconceptions surrounding another leg amputation.
Contrary to rumors, Vincent clarified that only one leg underwent a second amputation, emphasizing that it was not an additional leg.
The family statement detailing the nature of the health situation revealed that Mr Ibu is not suffering from diabetes but a blood vessel disease leading to frequent blood clots. The recent amputation was deemed necessary to address ongoing health issues. Despite public assumptions, the family clarified that only one leg underwent further surgery.
Addressing the delay in seeking medical treatment abroad to manage the health crisis, Vincent explained that doctors have deemed Mr Ibu “Not Fit to Fly.” This medical tag has presented a significant obstacle to securing international treatment. Currently, Mr Ibu is receiving care at a reputable Nigerian hospital with a team of skilled professionals attending to him.
The family expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support from Nigerians, both emotionally and financially. Vincent urged the public to refrain from spreading unconfirmed reports about his father’s health and requested continued prayers for Mr Ibu’s recovery.
In conclusion, the statement thanked well-wishers and supporters, emphasizing the importance of accurate information and understanding during this challenging time.
